The reference to FIDC
Below we report the joint press release of the regional sections of the Brands of Arci Caccia, Libera Caccia, Ente Produttori Selvaggina and Enalcaccia to the Region: “The undersigned hunting associations formulate the following joint observation: total NON-sharing and NON-acceptance regarding the single Statute of the ATCs. The request to the Region for a statute for all the ATCs dates back to the previous legislature and was always and only made by Federcaccia, the majority association for members. This proposal contained, among other things, the unacceptable provision that in the ATC assembly the three components, foreseen as mandatory by law 157/92, would vote separately, category by category, and therefore the assembly would no longer be a single body, but three distinct bodies”.
The previous document
"With this execrable system, the two largest organizations (FIDC among the hunting organizations and Coldiretti among the agricultural organizations) would always have had the possibility of taking all the members (hunters and farmers) in the ATC management committees. The previous regional administration, faced with the very strong protests of the undersigned associations, shelved its proposal: the current administration has instead drawn up the new proposal for a single statute, the one in question and under discussion. The new document, although already technically censurable for many minor reasons, does not contain the provision for the splitting of the ATC assembly during the vote, but we had to bitterly give in when in article 21 we read verbatim: "The modifications can be made by the ATC with a qualified majority of 2/3 of those entitled to vote in the assembly".
Total uselessness
"Well, we felt like we were going around early because what seemed to have gone out the door they let back in through the window. After all, the ATCs are private bodies that perform public functions in the management of wild fauna. Hence the total uselessness of a single regional statute. Worse, if it actually came to light it would only be a source of disputes, arguments, divisions with further prejudice to any management of the territory. We therefore ask for the total rejection of the resolution with its referral to the Regional Council".
