The situation of the hunting in the Marche continues to be animated by the appeals of the animal welfare and environmental associations. The legal debate concerns the areas of the Natura 2000 network. A recent resolution of the Region and signed by the councilor for hunting Moreno Pieroni seemed to have solved the problem, but the applicants did not give up. Here is the joint statement of the League for the Abolition of Hunting (LAC), WWF and National Animal Protection Agency (ENPA): "After the gift made by the Ceriscioli Council, complete with a 'Christmas letter' from the councilor for hunting Pieroni to the Marche hunters, a new appeal was presented".
The resolution passed the choice of Council of State about Natura 2000, but animal and environmental activists are not satisfied. As pointed out by WWF, LAC and ENPA, the judges had complained to the Marche Region for the lack of one hunting planning, in the absence of a Regional Wildlife Hunting Plan, expired in 2015 and never renewed and in the presence of all the Provincial Plans expired. The Marche Region has extended by law the expiry of the Provincial Plans. A solution that for animal rights activists is 'creative administration' and also very risky.
