Close to the start of the 2023-2024 hunting season, Marco Castellani, president ofANUUMigrators, wrote down his impressions. Here's what she said: “The sky will always be the same. Mountains, woods, countryside, rivers, lakes and swamps will, as always, await that particular dawn to offer themselves to those who, moved by atavistic instincts and never dormant impulses, will abandon their beds, their loved ones and their homes to respond to an irresistible call , alone or with other human members of their pack. You will sleep poorly and little on the night before. We will set the alarm as a precaution, even if we know it is destined to be turned off even before it rings. Finally the dawn will come. The dawn of a new opening”.
Eternal cycle of existence
Castellani then added: “We will return to action chasing dreams and hopes that are always the same but always different and becoming one with the mountains, woods, countryside, rivers, lakes and marshes that await us, with their wild animals, with our dogs or with our calls. Respecting the rules of law and Nature we will reap its fruits after having cultivated them. Thus, we will make his tree stronger, just as wise pruning strengthens fruit trees. Yes, we will take lives, by the natural order of things, waiting for Nature to take its course and finally come to claim ours too, in the eternal cycle of existence of which we hunters are aware of being part and therefore do not fear ”.
Rights and certainties
Finally, a wish: “Good luck, dear friends, prudence and respect as always. We certainly still have many problems to resolve to recover rights and certainties that have been denied to us. But we must not give up and instead continue to fight together to defend our passion, facing the new challenges that will inevitably arise and thus be able to better experience all the seasons that still await us.
