The provincial sections of Pistoia e Florence of the association Arch Hunting wrote to the regional councilors Federica Fratoni (Environment and Soil Defense) and Marco Remaschi (Agriculture) on the issue of Marshes of Fucecchio. The two Tuscan provinces are divided almost in half, the crater and the hunting tradition has existed in these places for many years. The activity continues today, despite the deterioration of the environment.
The hunters are also continuing to provide a valuable contribution from the management point of view, employing considerable resources. In the last hunting season in the Marshes the WWF it set up the so-called anti-poaching camp, but it was not limited to simple control activities. Indeed, the verifications were accompanied by a media campaign against the hunters, notwithstanding the administrative sanctions were just 22, most of which applied due to a strict interpretation of the law. Arci Caccia asked that honest hunters not be treated so disrespectfully.
This is why the councilors were asked to open a comparison with the environmentalists, a table to talk about the main problems of this territory, further involving the hunters in the management of the swamp. The hunting world is ready to contribute to surveillance and volunteering in the area: Arci Caccia Pistoia e Arci Caccia Florence they have many ideas in mind, not forgetting the technical skills that can be exploited.
