Great commitment on the front of the controls by the provincial police to ensure the regular performance of the hunting practice and compliance with the rules, as well as the safety of citizens. Particular attention will be paid to respecting the prescribed distances (from buildings and communication routes) and to combating acts of poaching. Thanks to the provincial coordination, the controls will be extended throughout the territory and will involve a total of 13 patrols between the Provincial Police, Voluntary Hunting Guards and BCDs.
But let's see what are the fundamental rules for hunting and the conditions and prohibitions to be respected in the Prato area.
Hunting can be practiced every day except Tuesdays and Fridays which are silent hunting. The hunting calendar closes on 31 January for the following species: song thrush, teal, snipe, gadwall, pintail, wood pigeon, hooded crow, wigeon, coot, whisk, moorhen, magpie, mallard, jay, gargane, shoveler , pochard, lapwing, water rail and fox. Gray partridge and red partridge can be hunted until November 30, 2015, while the common hare until December 7.
For woodcock, cesena and redwing and lark, the shotguns will have to wait until October 1st, for these species the season ends on January 31st 2016, with the exception of the skylark which ends on December 31st; for the tufted duck species, hunting is scheduled from 1 November 2015 until 31 January 2016.
TRAVEL HUNTING FOR TRAVEL AND PIGEON - Starling hunting, from 4 October to 13 December, is allowed only in vineyards, olive groves and late ripening orchards, as well as in the vicinity of the same for a radius of 100 meters, in the presence of the pending fruit and in plots where bloodless dissuasive systems are in place to protect crops. The regional authorization resolution of last July indicates the total number of reversals that can be withdrawn for the province of Prato at 2700. We remind you that it is necessary to communicate to the hunting office of the province of residence, by 12 November 2015, the number of transfers killed. By 31 January 2016, however, it is mandatory to deliver the pages of the hunting pass dedicated to the withdrawal of starlings and pigeons by way of derogation.
ROE DEER AND DEER - For red deer and roe deer, selective harvesting forms are allowed only in compliance with the indications of the respective slaughter plans and with the opinion of ISPRA. The collection periods differ according to the gender and age of the animal.
