A moment of reflection
On March 21st, the Tenuta di Suvignano in Monteroni d'Arbia (Siena) will host an important conference reserved for professionals, guests and invited guests, dedicated to the theme "Men, Animals and Hunting". The event, organized by Federcaccia Nazionale in collaboration with Federcaccia Toscana-UCT, will represent a moment of reflection and study on crucial issues related to hunting, the relationship between man and nature and the modern challenges of environmental conservation. The choice of the Tenuta di Suvignano is not accidental. Confiscated from the mafia and now a virtuous example of land management, the estate represents a model of legality and sustainability. This scenario will therefore offer an important framework for addressing issues regarding wildlife management, hunting ethics and the role of hunting in contemporary society.
Prominent figures
The conference will see the participation of leading figures in the hunting, institutional and academic panorama. After the introduction by Giorgio Aldo Salvatori, President of the Italian Wilderness Association, who is also present here as moderator, speakers will include Marco Salvadori, Regional President of Federcaccia Toscana-UCT; Letizia Cesani, Regional President of Coldiretti Toscana, Francesco Santilli, Forestry Agronomist and Wildlife Technician; Luca Santini, President of Federparchi; Angelo Lalli, Professor of Administrative Law at the University “La Sapienza” of Rome and Massimo Buconi, National President of the Italian Hunting Federation. The meeting will close with Senator Patrizio Giacomo La Pietra, Undersecretary of State for Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests. The participation of the President of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Giani, and the Vice President Stefania Saccardi is also expected.
Conservative hunting
Through the interventions of the speakers, the conference aims to analyze the role of hunting in modern society, addressing anthropological, ecological and legislative issues. A particular focus will be dedicated to the concept of "conservative hunting", a model that aims to integrate hunting activity with the protection of biodiversity and sustainable management of the territory. An event, therefore, that fits into a highly topical context, enhancing the role of hunting in the management of wildlife and underlining the importance of a conscious and responsible vision of the relationship between man, animals and the environment (source: FIDC).
