The alarm raised by the French press in recent days on the decline in birds obviously did not leave indifferentANUUMigrators. The hunting association has deepened the declarations of National Museum of Natural History and National Center for Scientific Research. In practice, the danger that nesting birds is growing and is linked to cultivated land, especially following the end of the wildlife set-aside that was imposed by the Common Agricultural Policy.
The agricultural model is destroying insects thanks to a new generation of insecticides which are defined in no uncertain terms "neurotoxic", very effective and powerful. Insecticides and pesticides are considered essential for intensive production. So the problem is related to the model itself: according to the ANUU for preserve the biodiversity of the countryside it is necessary to rethink everything, aiming both at the support of the strategies and of the resources of the primary sector.
The association recalled the strong link between agriculture and hunting: like all citizens, in fact, hunters have an interest in making well-being and the availability of food resources. However, a healthy and welcoming environment cannot be missing for every single form of life, including wildlife.
