The weekly report by ANUU Migratoristi concerning the migratory step in our country highlights a decrease in the step towards the southern areas with some exceptions.
From many parts we are reported some erratic movements of small groups of Cesene in the lower Po valley. The fact amazes us because the expectations of the sheds and capture plants, still operating in the other Lombard provinces, have been in vain and supplies have been very modest.
Just think that the FEIN Ornithological Observatory in Arosio, where news on the pass is collected on a weekly basis, in the first ten days of December an average of 4 birds per day were ringed in continuous activity after a good performance of the ringing until November 5, painfully approaching the 6.000 annual birds (from January 1 to December 1, 2011), at the moment, to be exact, at 5.979 subjects.
In this month in which we begin to prepare the report for the end of the year, we wonder why this decline in catches and we believe that the average temperatures well above the norm have influenced the step towards the south, as happened in previous years: with the exception of Cesene and Peppole, birds that usually have anomalous and even very different movements from one year to the next. .
On the legislative side, we are also witnessing the draft of what we want to call "politics" in the hunting field: how can we delude ourselves into having, then, men capable of predicting and managing a wise management of the environment and its resources, including hunting? Poor us!
