The Minister of Defense, Roberta Pinotti, went to Lecco to visit the Fiocchi Munizioni factory. It was a meeting characterized by a "low profile", so as not to create any kind of logistical difficulty: as pointed out by the number one of the Lombard company, Stefano Fiocchi, the appointment had been scheduled for some time and the owner of the department of Via XX Settembre checked in person production and technological solutions.
Fiocchi is one of the historical suppliers of Defense, without forgetting the industrial collaboration agreement. Among other things, one fifth of the supplies is represented by the ministry market, as evidenced by the turnover figures for last year. The head of the armed forces then had the opportunity to investigate various company aspects and the latest in ammunition.
The same Fiocchi and the military plant of Capua (in the province of Caserta) have collaborated to obtain the reindustrialisation of the production of bullet 12,7 × 99 mm, a cartridge developed for the Browning M2 machine gun towards the end of the first decade of the 900s.
