On Saturday 12 February, the online newspaper HereComo reported a report consisting of a message and a photograph sent to the editorial staff by a reader. Specifically, the reader, Valentino, wrote the following message to QuiComo: “Just to let us know ugly and bad hunters let's clean the forest where animal rights activists and environmentalists go for a walk. And we do it every year at the end of the hunting season ”.
Attached to the message was a photo of a hunter intent on clearing out the woods he is in Montano Lucino, a municipality located in the province of Como, in Lombardy. Regarding the report received, the online newspaper stressed that the intent of the reader who sent the shot should not be interpreted as the will to denounce the disinterest of animal rights activists and their attitude to soil the woods but it was designed to underline how many people, especially those who lash out against hunting, have a tendency to "preach well and then scratch badly" (ItalCaccia).
