THEexample of Liguria has also convinced another Italian region to focus on more severe sanctions against who intentionally disturbs hunters and fishermen. It is the Veneto: just today, Tuesday 4 October 2016, the Regional Councilor Sergio Berlato, who is also president of the Third Permanent Commission, has presented a bill to fix these fines, with a minimum amount of 600 and a maximum of 3600 €. The rationale of the rule is always the same, those who legitimately carry out the hunting activity cannot be disturbed, after having paid the government and regional concession fees.
Furthermore, tensions and problems with environmentalists are considered by Berlato to be a unique anomaly. Episodes of intentional disturbance or even voluntary impediment of hunting, it was therefore decided to introduce the law, taking into account that the "protest" initiatives of environmentalists and animal rights activists often go beyond the legitimate expression of dissent.
Furthermore, according to the councilor, hunters in good standing have every right to turn to the institutions to ask greater safeguards against aggression. The signatory of the text is convinced that in case of approval of the project, dissidents will have to demonstrate in a civil and legitimate way if they do not want to be sanctioned.
If this bill passes (I hope so), by calculating double the minimum or a third of the maximum, the administrative penalty will always be € 1.200, you will see that once the anticaccias are touched in their wallet, they may change their minds.
My personal consideration:
The government was quick to consider the feeding of the wild boar as a criminal offense outside the self-control operations, in fact whoever is caught feeding on it is punished with the penal sanction provided for by article 30 paragraph 1 letter I of 157/92. which provides half of the maximum € 1032,50, with registration in the criminal certificate.
I propose why not apply the same penal sanction to those who disturb the hunters, or vandalize the sheds, this in my humble opinion seems to me a much more serious thing than baiting ???
