The Comitite of the hunters of the Vesuvian Municipalities has become the spokesperson for the inequalities of treatment that hunters from Campania have been undergoing for years and so sent a petition (which we publish in full below) to the Prime Minister.
"The Committee of the hunters of the Vesuvian Municipalities in signing the present intends to bring to the attention of the SV Ill.ma the unfortunate situations that every year, systematically, are repeated, which offend our category for the way in which, in this region, they are implemented the procedures for the registration and access of hunters to the Campania ATCs.
We come to specify the reasons that made our complaint necessary, taking into account what happened again this year. In fact, in compliance with art. 30 paragraph 1. Of the Regional Law n. 24 of 29.12.2005, point 13, the applications for registration in the ATCs must be sent to the competent provincial office, in paper format, or electronically, starting from 8,00 on 1 February at 14,00 on 31 March, the deadline for submitting applications. In this regard, it should be noted that, on 1 February 2010 from 8,00 to 14,00, it was not possible to use the electronic channel for the submission of applications, as the network was not active and the repeated solicitations , via cable to Dr. Vigilante, regional manager of the hunting sector, they turned out to be vain and useless. This unorthodox attitude is feared as a form of boycott, having precluded the possibility of sending ATC applications to all those who were preparing to do so electronically.
It should also be noted that the network having activated, coincidentally, only after fourteen hours only a small number of hunters managed to send requests to the various provincial ATCs. If the actual situation arises, an immediate and incisive action is required for the protection of the rights and interests of the Campania hunters who are not only forced to endure the unequal treatment, due to the considerable restrictions, in towards colleagues residing in other Italian regions, but even derided because of the insurmountable bureaucratic difficulties created by the obstructive attitude of the insiders. Preliminarily, a review of the list of names included to date in the ranking of the Naples and Caserta ATCs is requested through the intervention of competent personnel in the matter as well as the adaptation of hunting regulations to those of the Community.
We are convinced that the president of the council of ministers at his time had appointed the honorable Sergio Berlato to directly follow the phases and the organization of the work for the rapid approval of the amendments to 157/92 by the Italian parliament. With these additions Berlusconi, promoter of protecting the rights of hunters in Campania, we have always been isolated, with such a unified text prepared, the majority of Campania hunters have always communicated through the hunting associations to go hunting with only one ATC in the Campania region. It will be up to us to bring to the streets, in support of this battle, the vast majority of Italian hunters together with the agricultural world and the reasonable part of the environmentalist world. We are confident and convinced that, this time also the employees of the economic sector that revolves around hunting, will be at our side to defend the future in the hunting world of the past. For the protection of the rights and interests of the hunter category, we reserve all rights and actions".
