On Sunday 22 May 2022 on the land of the Montenero hunting farm owned in the municipality of Todi (PG), the National Final was held for Followed Dogs on Wild Boar Couples Class Category A and B organized by FIdC Umbra in collaboration with the national management, test Enci. The path that has brought the competitors so far began with the regional selections up to the semifinal of Piancardato in the Municipality of Collazzone (PG) which took place from 18 to 21 May 2022; the federal judges Silvia Viviani, Cappellini, Paolo (Brucio), Paolo Margheritini, Pierluigi Giglioni, delegate Giuseppe Campi judged this test. The semifinal took place in the enclosures owned by Alberto Palermi and they proved to be up to the situation, very selective with a good presence of wild boars accustomed to running and holding the catch. In short, they held up very well to the canizze. The great heat in the hottest hours of the day affected the free shifts a little, complicating life for the dogs and the handlers.
THE FINAL - Four couples for each category arrived in the final. Here are the rankings: in Category A the first classified Italian Champion For Giuseppe Migliorini, second Edoardo Valenti and third Franco Franchini. Only the first classified scored with a score that earned him a Very Good. The other competitors, unfortunately, did not meet and according to the regulations for them the score of the previous test was taken. Unfortunately, Luigi Stochino's performance was not enough to get on the podium. But having already arrived this far represents a very important step and a very solid basis for future tests. For Category B, Massimiliano Bernardini took the top step of the podium, according to Diego Ambrogi and Sergio Patacchiola.
The competitors were judged in an atmosphere of great sportsmanship, respect and friendship by Silvia Viviani, Paolo Brucio Margheritini and Massimo D'Epiro. The federal delegate was Giuseppe Campi and the Enci judge Ugo Verdini. All the actors of the event showed a rare preparation and respect towards the jury and the organization. The event was also attended by the National President of the FIdC, Massimo Buconi who gave even more prestige to this National Final. The Umbrian representation was full with the provincial president Giulio Piccioni, the provincial president of Perugia Marcello Spigarelli, the regional vice president of Umbria Mauro Bacaro and the FIdC Umbria secretary Giampiero Morosi.
