It took place in Rosignano Solvay, Livorno, the initiative promoted by the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters of Livorno, focused on the problems relating to the future establishment of regional nature reserve of the Livorno mountains and on the possible repercussions for hunting. The response of the hunters lived up to expectations, a room packed with over one hundred and fifty people followed with attention, participation and interest, the interventions that followed and the proposals presented by the Confederation for the protection of the rights of all Leghorn hunters.
After the greeting of the local representatives of the CCT and the provincial coordinator Franco Poli, who highlighted the absolute value of the unity of hunters as a function of a cultured and prepared representation of the instances in defense of hunting, we moved on to the analysis of problems concerning the choice that the Tuscany Region is making in the province of Livorno, for the establishment of a system of protected areas and ecological corridors on a territory of high hunting interest. The report developed by Matteo De Chiara, delegate of the CCT Regional Presidency, clearly highlighted the proposals for the establishment of the integrated system of the protected areas of the Livorno mountains, and the connection through a system of contiguous areas and SIC of the territories prohibited from hunting with the areas subject to future regulation of hunting.
The concerns expressed by the CCT that emerged in the report focused, without falling into unnecessary alarmism, on the possible effects that a regulation of contiguous areas and SIC will have on the various forms of hunting: Over 1600 hunters interested in hunting from fixed stalking; A complex organization of wild boar hunting articulated in suitable areas; The safeguarding of traditional hunts for the noble sedentary game and woodcock. On these and other aspects, De Chiara then presented the main requests to the present institutions.
Also the President of Federcaccia Toscana Marco Salvadori, going into detail, reiterated some fundamental points: number of existing fixed positions and the possibility of transferring the concession for the future and / or the possibility of variation by type; Maintenance of hunted hunting for the wild boar species confirming the current skills of the ATC in the organization of the districts, of the hunts and for the assignment of the territory to the hunting teams; access to contiguous areas guaranteed to all hunters registered with the ATC for the various forms of hunting; maintenance of the terms of the hunting calendar for times, species and forms of hunting.
The Councilor for the Environment of the Tuscany Region Federica Fratoni, did not fail to express his explicit sharing and the relative commitment of the Region so that the reasons for the protection and enhancement of the natural environment of the Livorno mountains do not go against the reasons for a activities such as hunting, which is already highly regulated today it is part of the culture and by the sociality of those territories, also in function of the contribution given to the environmental wildlife management of the province. Fratoni then went on to declare himself available to immediately activate a discussion table with the representatives of the Confederation for deepen the merits of the proposals and reach a shared solution. In addition to the local administrators of the municipalities concerned, regional councilors Biasci (Lega Nord group) and Gazzetti (Democratic Party council group) intervened.

A correct way of exercising the representation of collective interests that good politics has the duty to express through participation and discussion. Finally, Romagnoli reiterated the Confederation's willingness to make its own contribution in the future stages of confrontation, starting from the specific commitments that emerged in the assembly.
