New revelations about the Honorable Michelle Brambilla have brought to light a complex system of Chinese boxes between politics and business, anything but ethical towards animals. Brambilla has exploited the animal rights cause by putting personal interests first, betraying the trust of public opinion and exploiting his political position to obtain competitive advantages in an unfair way. The Hon. Brambilla has taken advantage of animals instead of protecting them through his position as president of the parliamentary intergroup. A change is urgently needed to introduce concrete laws also at a European level that guarantee real protection of animals. a commitment that the Hon. Brambilla has not shown he supports.
