Fifth edition
The fifth edition of EOS – European Outdoor Show will be held at Fiere di Parma from 28 to 30 March 2026. After four editions in Verona, EOS show moves to the heart of the Food Valley. A choice shared by the main trade associations, which marks the beginning of a phase of structured growth and strengthening of the international profile of the event. The new course of the event was officially presented in Rome, at the headquarters of Confindustria, in the presence of Giovanni Ghini (outgoing President of ANPAM - National Association of Manufacturers of Sporting and Civilian Weapons and Ammunition), Pierangelo Pedersoli (President of ConArmI - Consorzio Armaioli Italiani), Maurizio Zipponi (President of CNCN - National Hunting and Nature Committee) and Antonio Cellie (CEO of Fiere di Parma).
A unique event
EOS show is the leading Italian trade fair for the hunting, sport shooting, outdoor, hunting tourism, technical clothing, fishing and light boating sectors. A unique event in the European trade fair panorama, capable of attracting enthusiasts, professionals and companies from all over the continent. In the last edition in Verona it recorded 40.000 visitors. “Organizing EOS show in Parma – says Antonio Cellie, CEO of Fiere di Parma – means combining a project in strong growth with a central, modern and innovation-oriented trade fair ecosystem. The trust of the reference associations in the sector, owners of the brand, confirms the quality of the path undertaken and allows us to work immediately with clear objectives: expanding sections and audiences, strengthening international positioning and enhancing the experiential dimension of the event. The Parma area and our trade fair district offer ideal spaces to develop new thematic areas. The conditions for a new phase of development for a successful event are also represented by the continuity of the team led by Patrizio Carotta”.
The evolution of the fair
The hunting, shooting and outdoor sector generates an overall economic impact of approximately 8 billion euros¹ in Italy, with over 88.000 employees and a strong vocation for export (87% of turnover). At a European level, the sports and outdoor market exceeds 176 billion dollars², and is constantly growing. Clay pigeon shooting and target shooting are disciplines that award medals to Italian sport and Italian manufacturers of weapons and ammunition represent world excellence. In these contexts, the evolution of EOS show – also with new sections dedicated to fishing, hunting dog breeding and food and wine – intercepts an expanding demand and confirms itself as a strategic opportunity for the entire supply chain. "The hunting world - explains Maurizio Zipponi, President CNCN (National Hunting and Nature Committee) - is experiencing an evolution in recent years, which leads it to increasingly dialogue with other worlds, such as agriculture, academia, and environmentalism. The Parma area is strategic in this sense, because it is the nerve center of agriculture, food and a HUB of transversal access to other realities and our production sector, both industrial and artisanal, presents itself united at this event. Furthermore, hunting is the basis of a supply chain that we are building, that of wild meats: being present in the Italian Food Valley, I am sure that it will make the sector grow in this direction too. We are therefore particularly interested in the Fiera di Parma project, which places a broad network of subjects, interests and associations around hunting activity, to confirm it as a bulwark of sustainability and protection of biodiversity".
Players from various worlds
The move of EOS show to Parma will be accompanied by a new positioning on the calendar, almost 45 days later than the previous edition. A more favorable time window for operators in the sector, especially for the hunting tourism sector. "We welcome with great enthusiasm - says Giovanni Ghini, outgoing President of ANPAM (National Association of Sports and Civilian Weapons and Ammunition Manufacturers) - the opportunity to work on the growth of our sector with a valid and structured partner like Fiere di Parma. EOS show is the main meeting point for all players in the world of weapons, hunting and sport shooting, where the future paths of one of the greatest Italian excellences are designed and, consequently, growth. Doing it in the context of Parma will give us new stimuli with the ambition of being able to welcome as many users as possible at a national level". EOS show arrives in an area, therefore, where sport shooting is not just practice, but a deep-rooted and identity-based tradition. Parma boasts a long history linked to hunting and sport shooting, as demonstrated by the presence of facilities such as the National Shooting Range and the Po di Polesine Parmense clay shooting range, frequented by high-level athletes.
Breakthrough
“The Consorzio Armaioli Italiani – declares Pierangelo Pedersoli, President of ConArmI (Consorzio Armaioli Italiani) – is certainly satisfied with the agreements made with Fiere di Parma and that they involve all the reference associations of our sector. We can only look with optimism at the new location, not only for the well-known and impeccable logistical organization, but also for its geographical centrality, which will allow us to satisfy a greater portion of enthusiasts. The proximity, not only physical, to the shooting range and the world of shooting, are a further positive factor. I would add that my personal bond with the city of Parma is also emotional: it was the city of my studies and I am happy to be able to find it again”. The 2026 edition will mark a decisive leap in quality in terms of content and format. New experiential areas are planned within the fairgrounds, dedicated to all three current macro thematic areas – hunting, sport shooting and outdoor – with an expansion towards new sections: hunting dog breeding, fishing and food and wine related to game. EOS show will also evolve in format, integrating a hybrid B2B and B2C structure designed to expand its international appeal, without sacrificing the strong experiential component, which has made it a point of reference for enthusiasts, professionals and operators in the sector. With this new edition, EOS show is preparing to build a new generation trade fair experience, in which the passion for the outdoors meets a platform designed to enhance content, business and community.
