Third video interview
In the third appointment of the interview format on the DDL 1552, Fondazione UNA asked some questions to the Honourable Francesco Bruzzone, member of the 13th Agriculture Committee and representative of the Lega-Salvini Premier. With his answers, the honorable member also clarifies some of the most controversial points of the hunting bill, currently under discussion in the Senate.
Italian hunters and European hunters
This is his point of view: “The law is outdated, and since 1992 the natural environment has changed, and consequently the presence of wild fauna in our territory has also changed. The integration of Italian hunting law into the European framework, particularly in Mediterranean countries, needs to be improved. Hunting in Italy is currently regulated very differently than in those countries: hunters need to be given the legal certainty they lack today.".
Faunal balance
Important underlines also for the role of the hunter: “Abandoned biodiversity and the environment—park mania has demonstrated this—are headed for degradation. Judicious human intervention is needed; hunters ensure the preservation of wildlife balance.".
