A long awaited return
“The return of wildlife hunting technical committee crowns a path undertaken politically with the installation of the Meloni Government and Minister Lollobrigida. The return of the committee, which met today after 9 years of total emptiness, with the presence of the minister and the undersecretary La Pietra ennobles its nature, indicating how the demands of the hunting world, such as their protection, are much more than a dead letter for this Government. Important topics were addressed, relaunching the figure of man as a bioregulator and the need to update law no. 157/1992, an instance that I have always defended and carried forward in national politics."
The May reconstitution
Thus in a note the Hon. Maria Cristina Caretta of Fratelli d'Italia, vice-president of the Agriculture commission at Montecitorio. The National Wildlife-Hunting Technical Committee was reconstituted with a decree last May and is made up of various bodies of various types.
The entities that compose it
In addition to the MASAF, with General Donato Monaco acting as alternate president, it is made up of representatives of the hunting and environmentalist associations, ISPRA, the Regions, the MASE, the Provinces, the agricultural organisations, the Italian Zoological Union, the Italian delegation of the International Council for Hunting and Game Conservation, of the National Animal Protection Agency. As part of today's meeting, the CTFVN addressed, among others, the issues of lead use in wet areas, hunting calendars and African swine fever.
