The Beretta Giubileo Over & Under is built in 12, 20, 28 and .410 caliber and is confirmed as the most loved and dreamed of hunting rifle by Italian hunters.
The Beretta Giubileo over-and-under is not only much loved and desired but also the most used by those who can afford to buy it. It is a luxury weapon, a real jewel of the modern era, where technology and craftsmanship come together in an unprecedented combination. It is not necessary to use other adjectives or presentations to introduce the new Beretta Giubileo over-under built in 12, 20, 28 and. 410.
This time, the genius of the Weapons Factory Pietro Beretta Spa has truly surpassed himself, leading to the creation of a certainly luxury weapon, but to be used in any hunting performance characterized by extreme skill and precision.
The new over-and-under offers the same technical characteristics of the previous S687 models, but with considerable attention to the structure of the action, the trigger guard, the safety and the opening key, metal parts finely engraved by a skilled master engraver. The scenes shown on the action are representations of hunting accompanied by sinuous textures (flowers and spirals) in perfect Baroque style. The absence of screws on the metal plates has allowed the engraver to obtain images of incredible sharpness, whose splendor is enhanced by a fine and careful mirror polishing.
Indeed, admire the metal parts of the over and under Beretta Giubileo it is a bit like looking in the mirror, because the absence of imperfections also allows the hunter to see his own image reflected in it. Of course, the weapon we are describing is not a mirror or even a jewel, but an indispensable hunting device which, precisely because of its delicate function, has been designed and studied in detail.
The accuracy of the shot and the handling of the weapon are favored by its perfect proportions, clearly visible not only from the metal parts, but also from the wooden parts, that is the stock and the forend. The trigger guard, the metal part that contains the trigger, also forms part of the "elongation" project of the shapes of the rifle. This detail, apparently small and insignificant, allows to enhance the handling of the weapon, which will be wielded more easily.
The wooden parts, of the stock and the forend, are made of high quality walnut, with fine knurling that allows an easy grip. Furthermore, a 24-karat gold crest engraved with the initials of the manufacturing company, or PB, is also encased on the auction. The wood has been polished with a particular oil technique, to enhance the grain naturally present in the walnut.
The new Beretta Giubileo over-and-under represents, therefore, also the triumph of aesthetics, which does not detract from the effectiveness and usability of the weapon.
The technical characteristics of the shotgun are almost identical to the previous S687 over-and-under, but it is useful to brush them up to remember that the Giubileo is not only a luxury weapon, but also and, above all, a shotgun.
Il Jubilee 12, 20, and .410 caliber it has a 76mm chamber and 66 to 71cm long barrels; while in the 28 gauge the chamber is 70 mm long. On the other hand, the measures of the rib (metal part above the barrel that serves to facilitate aiming) are different in the various calibers of the rifle. In the 12 gauge the rib is 10 × 8 mm, while in the other calibers it is 6 × 6 mm. The reduction of the ribs depends exactly on the caliber of the rifle, the more it decreases, the smaller the latter must be.
The ribs are ventilated (with holes) and tapered (tapering upwards). The chokes of the over and under Giubileo Beretta they are mobile, but they can also be fixed at the customer's request. The weight of the weapon is not easy to determine because it varies according to the caliber and size of the rifle and the wooden parts. The Giubileo Beretta 12 gauge weighs three kilos and two hundred grams, the 20 weighs two kilos and eight hundred grams, the 28 and .410 weigh two and a half kilos. For greater agility during hunting activities it is preferable to use a light weapon, even if the lower weight is more subject to the variations in trajectory caused by the recoil of the rifle.
The proportions of the Beretta Jubilee, as can be seen from the ratio of the various components of the weapon, are, in any case, also designed to limit the action of recoil (backward movement) and subsequent detection (upward movement of the barrel) also in the lightest calibers. The over-and-under we have just described is sold in an elegant ABS leather case complete with accessories, including five chokes and the key.
The quality of the finishes and the technical characteristics of the over and under Beretta Giubileo are the basis of its price, typical of luxury shotguns. Anyone wishing to buy a similar weapon should, in fact, pay more than thirteen thousand euros. If you can console it, the sale price is already discounted and, fortunately, also inclusive of VAT.
