Thomas Pellegrino, Director of Cilento National Park, Vallo di Diano and Alburni announced the possible intervention of approx 250 selecontrollers in this part of Campania, to be used over the next few months to cope with the emergency represented by boars. The exam tests for all those hunters who have enrolled in the qualification courses will end no later than April 30: as pointed out by Pellegrino himself, we are talking about a fundamental step for concretely address the problem of the excessive presence of ungulates.
The capture centers are under construction and will soon be activated in the municipalities that are part of the Park. In addition, there may be agreements for put the hunted meat up for sale, obviously after very strict controls by the ASL to ensure maximum safety. The Cilento Park has already published the decree to establish the register of hunters who are qualified for this selection hunt, in addition to the one that includes wildlife operators and assistants.
The lessons will end with an important exam and in this way there will be five specialized profiles: we are talking about the ungulate hunter with selective methods, the assistant in the control of wild boar, the wildlife assistant for the control and monitoring of wild animals, the handler of limiere dog and the handler of track dogs.
