The two Departments for the Territory and Parks and for Agriculture and Hunting of the Veneto region have disclosed the numbers for the first six months of killing in the Euganean Hills Park. We are talking about the famous natural area located in the province of Padua. From January to last June, exactly 770 wild boars were taken, which means hunting has accelerated sharply, especially in the past two months.
In fact, 258 ungulates were killed in May, while 284 were reached in June. In 61 days it was possible to kill 542 wild animals, i.e. more than 70%. As the Regional Councils explained, the alignment with the roadmap is progressing very well: the goal is to arrive at 2 thousand animals killed in the space of a year, so as to improve the usability of the park.
The assaults by wild boars have harmed farmers and residents. Finally, the Veneto Region recalled the resolution with which they were adopted last March new workers to compose the wildlife team, a detail that facilitated the increase in withdrawals. The outputs of the selecontrollers have risen up to 4 every week.
