Over 200 hunters took part in the assembly organized by Federcaccia section Provincial of Pistoia last Friday 8 July a Church Uzzanese. An eagerly awaited and widely attended event that took place in a symbolic place for Pistoia migratory workers and sheds, that of the Pertini Park, where one of the most important Bird Fairs in our region takes place. The meeting, focused on the latest hunting news in Tuscany and on the timing and procedures relating to the ringing of live decoys for hunting purposes, was conducted as moderator, by the president of the Federcaccia section municipal of Ponte Buggianese, Renzo Giuntoli. After a brief introduction, Senator Patrizio La Pietra (Brothers of Italy) intervened who, in addition to greeting the audience, wanted to underline the cultural and political closeness to the world of hunting and agriculture.
As a member of the Agriculture Commission of the Sanato, La Pietra highlighted the difficulties encountered at the parliamentary level in addressing, as it would be necessary, a serious process of reform of the LN 157/92 on hunting, to redesign the role and functions of hunting world and solve the problems related to proper wildlife and land management. After the welcome greetings of the mayors of Chiesina Uzzanese - Marco Borgioli and of Montecatini Terme - Luca Baroncini, the President of Federcaccia Toscana, Marco Salvadori, highlighted the most important issues that we are facing in these days. In particular, the aspects relating to the contents and proposals for the revision of the regional regulation 48 / R, currently under examination by the competent Council Commission, on the future establishment of CAV (Hunting Assistance Centers), on the renewal of the ATC Committees and finally on the approval times and the possible risks that arise for the approval of the new 2022/23 Hunting Calendar.
On this last aspect, the recent appeal of the animal-environmental associations the Emilia Romagna Calendar highlighted an explicit will on the part of those who, in spite of scientific considerations and data, will continue to pursue the path of litigation before the TARs as a political weapon. Frank Biagini - as president Federcaccia Provincial of Pistoia, he had the task of identifying the main aspects relating to the procedures for ringing live calls for hunting purposes. Despite the delays generated by the appeal presented by a hunting association and rejected by both the TAR and the Council of State, soon the activity of the new Hunting Assistance Centers will start in all the provincial realities of Tuscany.
A culpable delay above all because it was caused by a hateful part of the hunting world that did not allow us to proceed in recent months with the delivery of the new rings / clamp and the consequent registration of live calls as defined by Regional Law 3/94. The sentences and the refinement of the procedures will allow the overcoming of this impasse. Notwithstanding the legitimacy for the use of calls in this hunting season, in the coming months it will be possible to activate the ringing procedure in order to give legal certainty to all enthusiasts of the sheds. The Regional Councilor Marco Niccolai (PD) carried out a qualified and punctual intervention focused on the political will of the Tuscany Region to give a solution to an age-old problem which concerns thousands of Tuscan hunters.
Niccolai has taken up all the passages that have characterized the changes in this sense made to the Tuscan legislation on hunting activities and in particular on the aspects relating to live calls. A technically well thought-out reform, on which no appeals have been registered as occurred in other regions. The numerous interventions and questions from the public that found timely answers from the speakers, concluded a useful and constructive evening. The desire for discussion and the answers that hunters need to learn in a moment full of worries and precariousness, encourage us to continue our commitment in the area for the respect due to members and to all hunters (source: FIDC).
