ACT CHAMBER QUESTION AND REPLY IN THE COMMISSION 5/03894
Question for answer in the Commission 5-03894
presented by LUCIA CODURELLI Thursday 25 November 2010, session 402
CODURELLI, CORSINI and QUARTIANI.
To the President of the Council of Ministers, to the Minister of Tourism.
- To know - provided that:
we learn from news in the press that the minister questioned is dealing with hunting, also setting up special committees at the department for the development and competitiveness of tourism of the presidency of the Council, a faculty, as far as the questioners know, not foreseen in the of its delegation;
the positions and initiatives taken by the Minister questioned have raised numerous protests for the methods used;
an example of this is the fact that the Fiocchi di Lecco company of about 430 workers, excluding those related to the related industries, in recent weeks has requested the ordinary layoffs for hundreds of employees, also citing responsibility for the campaign of the interrogated Minister, who, using the its institutional role, carries on an instrumental battle, without instead working to ensure that the innumerable laws that regulate the sector are respectful of European directives;
even more, according to press releases, the President of the Council of Ministers, Silvio Berlusconi, during the electoral campaign for the 2009 European elections on the occasion of an assembly of hunters held in Vicenza on May 30, 2009, assured - by calling live - that the amendments to law 157 of 1992, under discussion at the Senate Environment Commission, would be quickly approved in order to equate Italian hunters, in rights and duties, to all other European hunters;
on the contrary, now the Minister uses statements that seem offensive towards those who practice hunting, shared or not, which remains governed by the laws in force until legislative changes, asserting that similar positions are also shared by the Prime Minister, using improperly , in the opinion of the author of the ministerial delegation and creating alarmism in an already difficult moment for the economy -:
what is the Government's position in relation to the hypothesis of reform of Law 157 of 1992, and whether hunting falls within the powers of the Minister for Tourism.
