Massimo Buconi, national vice president of Italian Federation of Hunting, commented on the news of the flight of five young people of Romanian nationality in the province of Perugia and the arrest of these criminals thanks to the decisive contribution of Umbrian hunters. The five, all aged between the 20 and the 30 years, tried to lose their tracks in the woods between Todi and Acquasparta after being intercepted by the Carabinieri.
Once noticed by the military, the thieves abandoned their car and the spontaneous involvement of the citizens of the area was decisive to find them in the countryside. and especially hunters with their dogs. The in-depth knowledge of the area by the hunting world has made it possible to find the fugitives and facilitate the arrest.
As Buconi himself underlined in commenting on the story: "In times when more and more often the headlines are being held in the headlines. disinterest and selfishness towards the rest of society and the fear of being involved in news events prevails that sees figures with criminal intent as protagonists, the hunters prove once again that they are a healthy part of the country, ready to take sides without doubts or hesitation on the side of the forces of order and justice ”.
