ANPAM file (National Association of Sports and Civil Weapons and Ammunition Manufacturers), together with TRUST (Italian Federation of Hunting Sport Weapons Disciplines), FITAV (Italian Shooting Federation), FITDS (Italian Federation of Dynamic Shooting Sports), with the collaboration of ASSOARMIERI e CONARM ME, drafted the "Guidelines for the safe reopening of outdoor shooting facilities", containing the precautionary measures that must be adopted to ensure the exercise of all shooting activities in full safety for shooters and equipment operators, as well as to face the reopening of the activities envisaged in the 2 phase.
In addition to suggesting the best actions to be taken to prevent contagion, the Guidelines provide specifications indications for the management of the structures, with particular reference to: information and training of teams on prevention measures; methods of communication to the public of the measures adopted; methods of access to the plants to be observed, with a specific reference to protocols prepared by the federations for the individual disciplines, available on their websites; reorganization of spaces in order to guarantee social distancing; obligation of users to use protective devices.
Le Guidelines should not be considered exhaustive of all the containment measures to combat Covid-19 in the shooting ranges and, therefore, operators are invited to consult the websites of the individual shooting sports federations, where there are documents and individual specifications that report specific methods through which to make the structure safe based on its characteristics and the shooting disciplines practiced.
