I Piedmontese hunters they were forced to wait twenty years before reading news like the one made public in the last few hours. The Regional Administrative Court accepted the appeal of many hunting associations e ducks and other migratory species can be shot again after the ban that lasted from 1996. As reported by the XIX century, the appeal presented by the lawyer Paolo Scaparone was partially accepted and foresees that the Region will include several species in the hunting calendar.
They are part of the list wigeon, gadwall, shoveler, garganey, pintail, water rail, coot, whisk, lapwing, fighter and tufted duck. The Regional Councilor for Agriculture, Giorgio Ferrero, however, he read the device differently. According to him, the Piedmont Regional Administrative Court asked to enter species absent in the hunting tradition, but in any case there will soon be a provision to prohibit the hunting of these species, as happened for the ptarmigan, the variable hare and the lark.
The news was interpreted by Ferrero himself in this way: the judges would have rejected the request of the Italian Federation of Hunting to suspend the calendar and change it at the point where it prohibits the killing of partridge, hare and lark. However, it must be said that the sentence considered them legitimate limitations to the daily and seasonal game bag as regards turtle doves, quail and woodcock.
