Poaching ended in tragedy. The incident involving two local poachers, 40 and 59 years old, committed to poaching in the woods of Riparbella, has happened in recent days in the Pisan area despite the Hunting Season being closed and the hunting at night it is prohibited; the two had decided to carry out an illegal wild boar hunt and then went into the bush a few hours after sunset to find the wild.
During the fight, the two poachers allegedly shot a boar but uncertain about the actual killing, they decided to separate in search of the injured prey and so one of the two, the 40-year-old, sees a suspicious movement in the bushes and immediately fires his rifle loaded with buckshot cartridges convinced that he had shot the wounded animal shortly before; unfortunately, however, behind the bush there was the poacher friend who was hit in the chest by the group of buckshot.
Immediate help from the friend who tries to revive the injured while requesting the intervention of 118; shortly after the 118 vehicles arrive to help the 59-year-old still lifeless in a pool of blood; The transport to the Cecina Vani hospital of the poacher who died during the race to the emergency room was useless.
The Carabinieri investigate the matter and have heard the surviving poacher on the incident and carried out an inspection on the site of the accident; according to what has been ascertained, this is, without a doubt, a fatality.
The 40-year-old poacher was denounced on the loose to answer for the crimes of manslaughter and other crimes in violation of the national legislation on hunting and weapons; the rifle and ammunition found in the man's possession were seized by the Carabinieri.
