In the province of Oristano, the Forestry surprises five poachers while they hunted wild boars within a protected restocking and trapping area.
The five poachers, coming from Sestu and Quartu Sant'Elena, were carrying out a wild boar hunt within a Temporary Restocking and Capture Area in Pedra Puzzone in the district of the Municipality of Scano Montiferro (OR).
The events occurred in the days when the men of the Forestry and Environmental Surveillance Corps posted at the Cuglieri station surprised five poachers while they were engaged in a wild boar hunt with dogs in the middle of the Ztrc Pedra Puzzone, Temporary Zone of repopulation and capture, located in Scano Montiferro.
The five poachers were reported on the loose and their weapons and related ammunition were seized by Forestry agents. Hunting activity is absolutely forbidden inside the Ztrc, as well as passing through it with loaded hunting weapons.
As part of the control of the territory, the Forestry was able to sanction two other hunters from Gonnostramatza and Cuglieri as they did not respect the ban on hunting near communication routes and carriage roads at a distance of less than 50 meters required by law.
