Two poachers were surprised by the Provincial Police of Ferrara in the lagoon valleys of Comacchio while they were hunting ducks using an electronic acoustic call.
Yesterday, November 16, 2011, after a few hours of stalking, they caught two poachers in the lagoon valleys of Comacchio, precisely in the Pre Park area, while they were hunting with the illicit use of an electronic device capable of reproducing the direction of the anatidae .
The agents of the Provincial Police during the night entered the middle of the lagoon valleys of Comacchio using a boat they stationed themselves near the hunting area awaiting the arrival of the poachers.
A few hours later, concomitantly with the appearance of the first aquatic ones, the electronic call came on which was reused several times until the men of the Provincial Police decided to intervene and put an end to the illegal hunting activity.
The use of the phonophile in hunting is prohibited by law as it deceptively attracts birds, also penalizing honest hunters who do not make use of these illegal subterfuges.
The two poachers they were denounced on the loose to answer for the crime of hunting with the use of the acoustic call; the same offense provides for a fine of over 1.500 euros.
Furthermore, the two characters will not be able to hunt in the pre-Park area for eight weeks and their rifles, with related ammunition, as well as the electronic call itself were confiscated; the phonophile was seized for the purpose of subsequent destruction.
