The State Forestry Corps intensifies the anti-poaching activity throughout the Cilento and Vallo di Diano territory.
During the activity aimed at combating the phenomenon of poaching and at ascertaining different types of criminal and administrative offenses related to hunting, the men of the State Forestry Corps were able to intensify controls throughout the Cilento and of the Vallo di Diano.
The activity carried out led to denounce fifteen people in a state of freedom and to seize weapons, ammunition, traps, acoustic warnings, laces, crossbows, torches and other material used for the capture of animals. Another ten people, on the other hand, were administratively sanctioned for crimes against fauna for a total amount of about 2000 euros.
Among the various episodes of poaching there is the one ascertained by the agents of the State Forestry Corps of the Ottati station, who during the anti-poaching control activity, in the "Tempa Cavallo-Difesa" area in the countryside of Aquara, after hearing some rifle shots have identified a man armed with a rifle accompanied by two dogs, in an evident hunting attitude.
The XNUMX-year-old male poacher was reported on the loose for hunting in a protected area while his rifle and its ammunition were seized.
In Laurino, on the other hand, in the locality of “Acqua delle Donne”, Forestry agents have identified near the Felitto - Laurino municipal road, a person armed with a rifle who was walking along a plot of uncultivated land also in an evident hunting attitude.
The twenty-four year old poacher was then subjected to control and reported on the loose for hunting in the protected area of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park; the poacher was seized the 270W caliber carbine, its ammunition and binoculars.
