Seventeen are hunters reported in Lombardy in the last few days; most were caught using banned electronic buzzers, others had killed birds belonging to protected species or had far exceeded the daily bag limit.
In particular in Cazzago San Martino. in the Brescia area, a man was surprised while he was hunting using an iPhone phone as an electronic acoustic signal; in the Milanese area, on the other hand, a man from Bergamo was surprised while hunting thrushes with a prohibited electronic acoustic call and had already killed 130 thrushes against a daily game bag limit of thirty animals for this species.
In addition to all the illegal calls, fourteen in total including the mobile phone, sixteen rifles with relative ammunition and the killed heads belonging to various species including thrushes, finches, robins, frosoni and brambles were also seized. In a particular case we can speak of real poaching; in Franciacorta, still in the Brescia area, a man was in fact caught catching birds with small bows placed on the ground and in one of them a wren, the smallest bird in Europe, had already been imprisoned.
