In particular, through technical inspections and observation, control and shadowing services, the Carabinieri and the agents of the State Forestry Corps were able to identify, in the "Polito" area of the Literno area, the presence of three artificially created reservoirs of varying size from 130 to 450 square meters, tanks for the collection of water that served as ponds to attract aquatic birds. To support the hypothesis of the use of these artificial ponds for poaching purposes, the identification, near these reservoirs, of concrete structures made illegally equipped with a sliding steel cover and slits used for fixed posting by the poachers engaged in illegal hunting of waterfowl.
The areas in question and the unauthorized artifacts have been subjected to seizure and entrusted to the Municipality of Villa Literno in custody, which will work for the immediate demolition and removal; at the same time, eight complaints were filed against the owners of the funds to respond in various ways to building abuses and poaching.
