In recent days, the men of the State Forestry Corps during the checks carried out in the province of Terni to combat the phenomenon of poaching and other offenses related to hunting in the area.
The outcome of the checks goes to the most common simple administrative sanctions such as the abandonment of fired shells, to the real complaints for illegal carrying of firearms for a total budget of four complaints, eight administrative seizures of as many firearms and 25 penalties for a total of over 4.500 euros.
The Forestale, during a check in the locality of Acquapalombo, surprised a man who was hunting without being in possession of the regular license to carry firearms for hunting use and then denounced on the loose for illegal carrying of a firearm with contextual seizure of the rifle found in his possession and the animals he had killed.
In the woods in the Guardea area, the men of the Forestry discovered a shelter inside which seven live wild boars were illegally detained in a sort of illegal breeding. The officers denounced the man who kept the ungulates on the loose while the animals were kidnapped and then entrusted to an authorized breeding center.
Similarly, inside a farm located in the locality of Allerona, the Forestale discovered a roe deer and two turtle doves illegally detained: also in this case the person responsible was reported while the animals were entrusted to the care of specialized centers.
Administrative fines of more than 4500 euros were raised throughout the province for various offenses including hunting from unauthorized stationary stalking, abandonment of fired shells, failure to record hunting days and, last but not least, hunting. exercised at a distance of less than 50 meters from the roads.
