THEENCI (Italian National Dog Association) has published the updated calendar of tests on rock partridge for English pointing breeds, valid for the assignment of Alectoris Graeca Trophy 2019. As part of the zootechnical checks provided for by the Breed Dog Herd Book, the Trophy has the objective of identify and select suitable mountain dogs to search for rock partridge. Here are the key points:
1. The Trophy includes a circuit of zootechnical selection trials for pointing dogs of English breeds
on rock partridge (only the points obtained on the rock partridge are valid);
2. The Trophy lasts annual;
3. To compete for the final classification it is necessary to participate in at least 50% +1 of the days of tests actually carried out. If the days of tests carried out are an odd number, the obligation to participate will be rounded up;
4. Limited to drivers residing in the islands and to foreign drivers, to compete for the final classification it is necessary to participate in at least the 30% +1 on test days actually carried out outside the island of residence. If the days of tests carried out are an odd number, the obligation to participate will be rounded up;
5. The Trophy will be awarded to the subject (male or female) who will have obtained the best
score; if the score is equal, the highest qualification will be valid, in case of further equality the second qualification and so on; in the event of a further tie, the Trophy will be awarded to the youngest subject;
6. To the female subject who will have totaled the best score a Trophy for the best female will also be awarded throughout the circuit;
7. A special prize will be offered, called Breeding Trophy to be assigned to the holder of a recognized poster, who will have obtained the best score (calculated by adding the scores obtained by the individual subjects);
8. A Trophy will be awarded to the driver who for two editions, even if not consecutive, will have won the annual trophy even with different subjects.
