Yet another gesture of solidarity
An environmental restoration intervention in the woods in the middle of summer, yet another sign that our hunters are always on the front line to protect the environment. There is no time to cool off under the umbrella, the hunters of the Federcaccia San Giovanni section of Polaveno, in the province of Brescia, at the beginning of August they intervened in the locality of Dosso Pelato on Mount Faito, in the territory of the Brescia town, to refurbish a watering hole for the animals.
The hunters who intervened
The continuous rainfall, but above all the intervention of the wild boars in the area, had effectively erased the pool, invaded by debris and no longer functional. In this way, Emanuele Pallini, together with about fifteen hunters from the local section of Federcaccia, intervened with an environmental restoration, authorized by the bodies involved, freeing it from dirt and creating a fence all around to prevent the situation from happening again. .
An added value
Our hunters spend their free time like this, an added value for the entire community and in this case one of the many initiatives of the Brescia section. Almost a hundred hunter federations are registered in the section, active not only in cleaning the watering holes, but also in cleaning the paths and sections of agricultural, forestry and pastoral roads, in collaboration with the municipal administration. Not to mention the projects with younger people, implementing in recent years a collaboration with the local school that Pallini himself hopes to be able to propose again in the future, essential for making today's children aware of environmental issues.
