The volunteers of the Maniago mountain rescue and the Carabinieri of Montereale intervened in the area. They were present near the corpse the 36-year-old's backpack and his rifle, then this morning it was possible to take him away. The victim was a resident of Maniago and was involved in the sale of knives: the failure to return home after the mouflon hunt he had set off the alarm, also because the man's phone was ringing empty.
The discovery took place in a part of the path at an altitude of 1100 meters. Also, the hunter had got in touch with a friend to tell him about a freshly wounded prey and to look for. The adverse weather then advised him to turn back and it was at that moment that the frozen ground made him slide.
