They ended in Denmark i World Championships for Pointing Dogs, now in their thirty-eighth edition, and the Sant'Uberto World Championship. The event took place on the Jutland peninsula, more precisely between the cities of Aalborg and Dronninglund, with days characterized by rain. Italy was very confident in this event and presented itself with a large group of competitors: the two championships have reserved five medals in total. In Sant'Uberto it was only the "Women" category that won a prestigious team gold: the two competitors totaled two felling with carryover and completing the podium were Sweden (second) and England (third).
The Sant'Uberto individual women's championship was instead won by the Swiss Simone Meili. On the contrary, Sant'Uberto Men did not reserve satisfactions for our colors. Gregorio D'Ambrosio he finished the heat in first place, but then failed to make it to the podium. Not even Fabrizio Muccioli, reigning champion, was able to take advantage of his experience and skill. The men's team ranking was dominated by Croatia, Germany and Norway.
The other medals refer to the World Championship for pointing dogs. The “English” individual ranking saw Germany excel, while the silver went to Italy thanks to Mirko Caramanti with the English setter Atos. Another silver was that of the “Continentali” individual classification with Mauro Pezzulli and the kurzhaar Zemur. The last two medals, always silver, were those of the team classification of the two categories.
