The "Cinofilo del Rugolo" Group of Levico Terme (in the province of Trento) in collaboration with Municipal Hunters Reserve of Levico organized the twenty-first edition of the Rugolo Trophy. It is a social proof of practical hunting on released quail in the fields reserved for pointing dogs of English and continental breeds. The location chosen for this 2016 edition is Vezzena Pass, Alpine pass of the Vicentine Prealps that connects the Lavarone plateau (Trento) with the Sette Comuni plateau (Vicenza).
The categories competing for this canine test, a traditional and well-established event, will be two, namely "Free English and Continental Hunters" e "Free Hunters Section of Levico". There is an important clarification regarding the awards: the Rugolo Trophy will be awarded to the English Hunters, while the Continental Hunters "Levico Hunter Reserve" Trophy.
In addition, the top five in each category will be awarded gods gastronomic baskets. The name chosen for the event was not accidental since the first edition of the test. Effectively, the rugolo is the song of the black grouse and the capercaillie, therefore the reference to the gallinaceous to be sighted is clear.
