In exactly two days, Thursday 1st September 2016, there will be the pre-opening of the hunt in Ferrara and for the first time in at least thirty years it will be possible to shoot all over the province, including the Lower Ferrara. As explained by the Rest of the Carlino, in the Lower Ferrara area, hunting traditionally started on the third Sunday of September, with the exception of the Park areas. The pre-opening we are talking about will concern hunting from stalking a turtledoves, magpies, crows, jays and blackbirds.
As regards the timetable, moreover, the shooting will be up to 13. The general opening is instead scheduled for Sunday 18 September: for the first two weeks hunters will have to limit themselves to Thursday and Sunday. The hunting methods of the FE5 Territorial Hunting Area have not changed: the maximum number of hares that can be hunted is 7, while no more than 25 pheasants can be killed.
The 2016-2017 hunting calendar of Emilia Romagna includes a series of important innovations. For example, sedentary and migratory fauna must be marked on the card immediately after killing and hunters will have to wear yellow or orange clothing for the picking in stray form. The ban on the use of mobile phones, then, it is another novelty that is causing discussion and on which the last word has not yet been put.
