The associations and the various trade representatives met openly and various comments were formulated before proposing the hunting calendar for the 2017-2018 season. The text is basically similar to that of the past season, with a novelty that however concerns the thrushes.
The Ministry of the Environment and the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research have announced the possibility of postponing the hunting periods for these birds. one decade compared to the limits that have been indicated up to now in the reference directives. Consequently, the closure of the activity on the island will take place on January 28th.
At this point it will be the task of the regional offices to send the proposal approved by ISPRA, in order to obtain the opinion from the latter. The Institute will be called to verify the dates and compliance with the law for each hunted species in Sardinian territory. Immediately after this step, the Fauna Committee will be able to decide on the definitive calendar.
