The Regional Council has established further criteria for the allocation and payment of an advance on current contributions intended for Protected natural areas for carrying out the activities and for their management. “These are – explains the regional councilor for the Environment, Stefano Aguzzi – resources that, on the basis of the Five-Year Program for Protected Areas 2021/25 (PQUAP 2021/25), are transferred by the Region and divided into a fixed quota, relating to personnel expenses, and a variable quota, relating to functional expenses and other expenses”. “In accordance with what has already been established for the 2024 financial year and to be able to guarantee the possibility for managers of protected areas to proceed with the procedures for the approval of their budgets within the legal deadlines – continues Aguzzi – it is useful to proceed with the disbursement of an advance, relating to the current financial resources, providing for a total amount of € 1.672.200,00, equal to 90% of the resources currently available in the 2025/27 budget forecast.

This forecast allows to guarantee, on the occasion of the approval by the Regional Council of the overall distribution criteria for the year 2025, sufficient resources to ensure the coverage of the additional fixed costs that will be determined precisely on the basis of the expenditure forecasts contained in the Activity Plans prepared by the Managing Bodies”.
Total funds
Therefore, it is expected that the available funds will be allocated according to the following criteria: as regards the fixed quota, the funds are assigned exclusively to regional and interregional parks and nature reserves at a rate of 90% of the total funds for the fixed quota granted in the 2024 financial year; as regards the variable quota, €8.537,78 are assigned one-off to the managing body of the Abbadia di Fiastra State Nature Reserve to compensate for the 2024 supplementary quota that could not be granted following the implementation of the 2024 Budget Adjustment Law. The additionally available funds are assigned to regional and interregional natural parks and regional and state nature reserves, and are determined in proportion to the variable quota contributions granted in the 2024 financial year (source: Marche Region).
