Five days ago a rather large group of Piedmontese hunters has protested in front of the headquarters of the Regional Agriculture Department a Torino (to Corso United States to be precise). On that occasion there were also several mayors, the presidents of the Territorial Areas of Hunting and two regional councilors, including Gianluca Vignale. The main reason for the protest was that ofunification of the same ATCs with the Alpine Districts and a delegation was received at the headquarters, although in the last few hours the Department has decided to publish an official statement to make its position known.
According to what can be read in the note, the event involved 150 people and allowed the regional councilor, Giorgio Ferrero, to remember what his position is. According to Ferrero, 38 management bodies and 760 directors were unable to achieve the objectives relating to the wildlife management in most cases. As a result, the situation would spiral out of control in many areas.
All this would also be confirmed by the continuous reports of damage to crops and accidents caused by wild animals. This is why the Piedmont Region intends to renew the world of hunting with a twist, long awaited by citizens and the agricultural sector: the aim is, in particular, to rationalize the management bodies and make them more homogeneous from a territorial point of view, "Without any concrete consequences on hunters".
