The agreement between the Province and the Area
These days the Province of Ravenna approved the agreement with the Territorial Hunting Area for the containment of species such as badgers, foxes, porcupines and nutria. The reason is easy to say: all these animals do nothing but ruin and weaken the banks of canals and rivers, consequently we want to avoid worse troubles.
How the funds will be used
The agreement to which we are referring will last until 2024, with an economic allocation of 76 thousand euros, useful for the capture of the specimens and the acquisition of projectiles or firearms or complex air weapons. The funds, then, will also be useful for the correct disposal of the carcasses, without forgetting the provincial police personnel to be employed in the control.
Requests for intervention
The Provincial Police of Ravenna will manage the plan, after receiving requests for intervention from farmers, water management bodies, but also ordinary citizens. Finally, the armed force itself will verify the conditions of feasibility of the requests.
