Silvio Debolini, number one ofURCA of Siena (Regional Union of Hunters of the Apennines) addressed the Regional Councilor for Agriculture, Marco Remaschi, regarding the plans and collection times for roe and red deer. The president's reference went to the problem areas of the Tuscan province. The plans and timelines have been changed for some time and the association has been stunned.
The killing of thin roe deer females from 15 August to 30 September was defined as "absurd", while a section of an attachment that speaks of sampling errors is considered surreal. The Sienese URCA reiterated its favorable opinion on reduction of cervids and suidae in problem areas, taking into account the numbers of the various local districts. The Tuscany Region, however, has decreased the numbers of animals assigned, as for example in the case of roes (3105 heads compared to 1567 assigned in 2015-2016).
The Union fears that there will be unacceptable trials, in particular the use of hunt and follow dogs in hunting deer and bovids. The Sienese hunters were also astonished after discovering that the deer were declared unsuitable and unsuitable for eradication in the Chianti and in densely wooded areas. In a nutshell, there are many unconvincing points and a comparison appears at least essential.
