In Republic of San Marino a real record has been set for what concerns the hunting wild boars. It is 100 specimens culled: the number makes an impression if you take into account the size of this nation and the fact that the jokes are not finished yet. The Environmental and Agricultural Resources Management Office (Wow) released the data relating to damage to agricultural crops, which amount to approx 7mila euros, but there are also claims for compensation for accidents (15% of the total would have been caused by the wild).
The Observatory is formed by Local hunting federation, from UGRAA itself, from the Secretariat to the Territory, from the farmers' association, from the Naturalistic Center and from the San Marino Animal Protection Association (APAS). The latter acronym was the only one to arise, but the plan is clear. In San Marino there are 7 wild boars per hectare, while instead there should be only one to have an acceptable situation.
The hunters did not take advantage of the selective levy, but the 100 boars were killed to solve the problem once and for all. They are still missing three bars before the conclusion of this hunt, despite the aforementioned APAS spoke of "persecution" against ungulates.
