The second section of the Piedmont Regional Administrative Court ruled on the appeal presented by the regional section of the Italian Federation of Hunting about the reorganization of the Territorial Areas of Hunting and the Alpine Districts. The hunting association had decided to ask for the suspension of the resolution of the Piedmont regional council last year September 26th which has rationalized i ATC and CA management committees.
The administrative judges underlined that in the appeal rather complete and complex issues were addressed, deserving of further study. The request for suspension was motivated by Federcaccia Piemonte with the fact that the members of the management committees must be appointed by next November 19th. According to the TAR, there is no prerequisite forextreme gravity and urgency which is necessary in these cases, that is when single precautionary measures must be adopted.
Consequently, the federation's request was rejected and the date for the collegial treatment of the precautionary request in the closed session was set for Tuesday 13 December 2016. Federcaccia Piemonte referred to article 38 of Regional Law 26 of 2015. The project envisages reducing and merging Territorial Areas of Hunting and Alpine Districts, making them go from the current 38 (21 ATC and 17 districts) to just over half.
