Cash and dangers to safety
A rather curious piece of news that has to do with the issue of the gun license has arrived in the last few hours from Lodi. This is where a restaurateur specifically asked the license to possess a pistol, motivating this need with the fact of walking around every day with thousands of euros in your pocket. The Regional Administrative Court of Lombardy, however, thought the opposite.
Alternative means of payment are better
According to the TAR judges, in fact, the man would not run any risk to his safety, given that he could opt for alternative means of payment such as POS and therefore limit the circulation of cash. For this reason, carrying weapons would make no sense. However, it was not the first no received by the Lodi restaurateur.
An exception that proves the rule
Previously the Prefecture of Lodi had chosen to reject the request. The TAR added that the possession of a weapon is not an object of absolute law, rather it represents an exception. The administrative judges' ruling will not be challenged before the Council of State, so it is a final decision.
