The Internal Market Commission of European Parliament voted yesterday, Friday 27 January 2017, on an important measure concerning the controversial directive onuse of weapons within the EU. As explained by the MEP Lara Comi, the important result of this vote was certainly the ban on the use and circulation of dangerous semi-automatic weapons or not properly deactivated.
Security is undoubtedly the main objective, but it certainly cannot be at the expense of honest citizens. Parliament, Council and Commission of the European Union have managed to find an agreement on the subject e the final vote will take place in March, with possible formal approval by the EU Council of Ministers in the following weeks. The ban implies the safeguarding of important categories, that is hunters, collectors of antique weapons, reservists and sport shooters.
Also according to Comi, as far as hunters are concerned, the limit of shots in the magazine will be equal to 10, while for shooters there will be the opportunity to participate in sports competitions, demonstrating that they are actively practicing. Each member state will be able to issue authorizations in the case of weapons used to protect critical infrastructure, transportation, convoys of value, national defense and sensitive buildings.
"Banned the use and circulation of dangerous automatic weapons"
Since when was it allowed? but do you really listen to that girl called Lara Comi? only a bunch of nonsense are written.
"As for the hunters, the limit of shots in the magazine will be equal to 10"
This sentence doesn't make a shred of sense. In Italy thanks to the limit is 2 with the exception of 5 for wild boar. This chick didn't understand a pipe of what she voted. A directive that penalizes only those who respect the law and do NOTHING or almost NOTHING to counter the black market that is not supplied in the armory….
Mr. Ricci, before writing certain articles, at least take the trouble to read the directive and not to copy and paste in a pedestrian way the press release of Mrs. Comi who understands weapons like I do crochet. So avoid making a bad impression! This “anti-terrorism” directive which has nothing to do with counter-terrorism, is just a wrong way to hit fans and definitively sink a sector that employs hundreds of thousands of people! And I am amazed that a site like Cacciapassione allows articles of this kind to be published!
Good evening,
we receive and receive many notes and “tissue papers” every day, it is not the first press release that is published: in this case I have decided to give space to an MEP who is also part of the Hunting, Biodiversity and Rural Activities Intergroup. This does not mean that it is my thought or that of Caccia Passione, I reported what was communicated by the press office without commenting on anything.
Best regards
