Giovanni Pelielo close to the first Olympic gold of his seventh Games and must be satisfied with the silver medal. He will then return to his Vercelli with an Olympic silver medal around his neck. Giovanni fought until the end and after the masterpiece semifinals that saw him reach the play-offs where a thrilling head-to-head begins with the Croatian champion Glasnovic, forcing him, after the initial 15 shots, to shoot-offs.
Giovanni gives in to the fourth "blow for blow": a cruel and unnerving lottery. Unfortunately, only one mistake was enough to separate it from the much coveted gold. Giovanni's feat will however remain in the history of the Olympics with his fourth Olympic medal. However, the bitterness remains for the near-miss enterprise, but we are still grateful to Giovanni for the continuous emotions: thanks Johnny!
