The trial against Mocavero
Three weeks after the theft in the villa in the Vicenza area, Roberto Baggio appeared in Brescia, to be precise at the Palace of Justice, to take part in the trial against Paolo Mocavero who has attacked and insulted him since 2015 due to the divine pigtail's passion for hunting. The former footballer explained in detail his connection with hunting.
Since the 1980s, Baggio has regularly practiced hunting, as he underlined: “I go there because I like to eat game, there is a law that regulates the maximum number of animals that can be killed and laying the killed animals on the ground I think it is a habit of many but not mine". Baggio then added: “I think I am able to distinguish legal and illicit methods in each country. I didn't kill woodcocks and take photos of trophies, maybe others did".
Finally, an allusion to the inaugural Ita Airways flight which took its name in 2022 for the Rome-Buenos Aires route: “For me it was an honor, then they told me about those signs, I was far away, honestly I don't know if they were on Facebook, I didn't look so as not to give them satisfaction and I'm not a social media person. My lawyers did it. I was far away, I received messages, photos on WhatsApp and phone calls. I was saddened".
